Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 March 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OliveOdds (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the OliveOdds mobile application (“App”). It is drafted in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.
Please read this policy carefully. If you have any questions, contact us at the address in Section 12.
1. Who We Are (Data Controller)
The data controller responsible for your personal data is:
OliveOdds
Developer: Eros Garcia Ponte
Country of establishment: Germany
Contact email: eros902002@googlemail.com
2. What Data We Collect
2.1 Account Data
Accounts are created exclusively by OliveOdds administrators. When an account is created for you, we store your email address via Firebase Authentication. This is used solely to identify you and secure your access to the App. Users who are not granted an account use the App’s free features without providing any account data.
2.2 Usage Data
We collect anonymized or pseudonymized usage-event data via Firebase Analytics, including:
– Screens viewed and features accessed
– Match detail page impressions (sport, match ID, free/pro tier)
– Bet-logging events (sport, odds, stake amount, side — no personally identifying betting content)
– Bet-status update events
– Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks, load success/failure) by placement identifier
This data is used to understand how the App is used, improve features, and measure the performance of advertisements.
2.3 Performance Data
Firebase Performance Monitoring collects technical performance metrics such as app startup time, network request latency, and crash reports. This data is linked to a pseudonymous installation identifier, not directly to your identity.
2.4 Bet Tracking Data
Bets you choose to log in the App (sport, match, player names, your stake, your chosen odds, model probability, status) are stored in Firebase Realtime Database under a node keyed to your user UID. This data remains on our Firebase project and is not shared with any third party, except as part of normal Firebase infrastructure processing (see Section 4).
### 2.5 Advertising Identifiers
If you grant consent via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt and/or the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form:
– Your device’s IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers, iOS) may be collected and shared with Google AdMob and its demand partners (Liftoff / Vungle and Unity Ads) to serve personalised advertisements.
If you decline consent:
– No IDFA is accessed.
– Ads are still displayed, but they are non-personalised.
2.6 Consent Records
Your advertising consent choices (UMP consent state) are stored locally on your device and synchronised with Google’s consent infrastructure. This is required to honor your preferences across app sessions.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Article 6)
| Processing Activity | Legal Basis |
| Account creation and authentication | Contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)) — required to provide the authenticated Service |
| Bet data storage and retrieval | Contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)) — core feature of the Service |
| Firebase Analytics usage events | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to improve the App and understand user behaviour |
| Firebase Performance Monitoring | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to maintain App quality and stability |
| Personalised advertising (IDFA) | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — only with your explicit ATT/UMP consent |
| Non-personalised advertising | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to fund the free tier of the Service |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, you have the right to object (see Section 8).
4. Third-Party Data Processors
We share data with the following processors, each bound by data-processing agreements and/or standard contractual clauses:
| Processor | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
| Google Firebase (Analytics, Auth, Realtime Database, Remote Config, Performance) | Core infrastructure, analytics, authentication, data storage | [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) |
| Google AdMob | Ad mediation and serving | [Google Ads Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) |
| Liftoff (Vungle) | Programmatic ad demand partner | [Liftoff Privacy Policy](https://liftoff.io/privacy-policy/) |
| Unity Ads | Programmatic ad demand partner | [Unity Privacy Policy](https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy) |
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
5. International Data Transfers
The processors listed in Section 4 are based in the United States. Transfers of personal data from the European Economic Area (EEA) to these processors are carried out under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or where applicable, on the basis of adequacy decisions. For more details, refer to each processor’s privacy documentation linked in Section 4.
6. Advertising and Consent Management
Consent Management Platform (UMP)
On every cold start of the App, we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to:
1. Check whether your consent for personalised advertising is current.
2. Display a consent form to users in the EEA if required.
App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
After the UMP consent form is dismissed, we request permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework (if you have not previously made a choice). This determines whether your IDFA may be accessed.
Effect of Your Choices
– Consent granted: Personalised ads may be served using your IDFA; data may be shared with AdMob, Liftoff, and Unity Ads for ad targeting.
– Consent declined: Non-personalised ads are served; your IDFA is not accessed or shared.
– Withdraw or change consent: You can revisit your choices at any time via Settings → Manage Privacy Preferences in the App, or through your device’s Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
7. Data Retention
| Data Category | Retention Period |
| Firebase Auth account data | For the lifetime of your account, plus 30 days after an account deletion request |
| Bet tracking data (Realtime Database) | For the lifetime of your account, plus 30 days after an account deletion request |
| Firebase Analytics events | Aggregated; typically retained for 14 months per Google’s standard Analytics retention policy |
| Firebase Performance data | Typically retained for 90 days per Firebase defaults |
| Advertising consent state | Until you change your preference or uninstall the App |
After the applicable retention period, data is deleted or anonymized so that it can no longer be linked to you.
8. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are in the EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [INSERT CONTACT EMAIL].
| Right | Description |
| Access (Art. 15) | Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you |

We will respond to requests within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
9. Children’s Privacy
OliveOdds is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete that data.
10. Local Storage
The App does not use browser cookies. It uses Apple’s UserDefaults system to store:
– Your UMP advertising consent state
– App preferences (e.g., selected sport filter)
This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us except as part of the UMP consent synchronization described in Section 6.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notice or, where we hold your email address, by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
